Email Integration

Integrating Your Email

Email integration allows you to send questionnaires, open-items, messages and reminders to clients using your Gmail or Outlook email address (instead of Soraban's email address). The integration will only take ~2-5 minutes to set up and will give any correspondence you send to clients through Soraban a more personal touch.

How to Connect an Outlook Account
  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Manage Firm from the drop down menu.
  3. Click the blue Connect account button.
  1. Click Connect an Outlook account.
  1. You will redirect you to the Microsoft log-in screen. From there, you’ll log in with the account you want to connect.
  2. Select the blue Yes button to grant us permission to send emails on your behalf.
  1. You will be automatically redirected back to Soraban. If your account is connected successfully, you will see it listed in Email integration table.
  2. When you’d like to send an email, use the 'Send Email With' box at the top of the Manage Firm page to select the Outlook account you connected from the drop down menu.

How to Connect a Gmail Account
  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Manage Firm from the drop down menu.
  3. Click the blue Connect account button in the Email Integration section.
  4. Click Connect a Gmail account.
  1. Once the Google sign-in popup shows up, select the Google account you’d like to connect.
  2. Our app is still under Google Review, so it will show the following pop-up. Click on Advanced.
  1. Click on Go to Soraban.com (unsafe).
  2. Check the box for Send email on your behalf and press Continue.
  1. If your account is successfully connected, you will see the account in the table.
  2. Near the top of your Manage Firm screen, you’ll see the Send Email With box – where you can select the account that you just connected.

Outlook Troubleshooting: “Needs admin approval”
  1. Go to https://admin.microsoft.com/
  2. Click on target user and then click the Manage roles link on the user info page.
  1. Next, check the Team Administrator and User Administrator boxes and the “Save Changes” button.
